[Sherab Jungne said]:
“May you, as long as the ocean of samsara is not emptied,
remain permanently with this vajra body,
and cause all beings to mature!”
When he had made that request, [Jigten Sumgön] replied:
“I am the one who remains without cessation
until samsara is emptied!
My only son! Do not torture yourself!
Why? The body of the excellent guru
is the unstained, completely pure dharmakaya.
I have perfected the qualities of purity, [true] self, bliss, and permanence.
Therefore, do not look at my body in the wrong way!”
[Sherab Jungne said]:
“Still I had doubts, and I asked:
‘Lord! To which Buddha field will you proceed
after you have left from here?
Whereto shall we direct our prayers?’”
[Jigten Sumgön] replied:
“This is the Buddha field! Where else should it be?
I remain where the true nature of your mind
and mahamudra are an inseparable unity.
Never to be separated from the practice of your mind
is to be inseparable from me!
How could I remain at a single place
like Oddyana and Jalandhara?” (…)
I will not pass into nirvana;
I will always be inseparable from you! (…)
I am not large, you are not small.
We have the same colour and size, and we run and jump the same [speed and distance].
In the Buddha fields like Abhirati, the beings are not different.
Just exactly this here is a Buddha field!”
